And WOW, what a show...

... last night in Antwerp !!

Prince was in super funky and entertaining form :-) We managed to grab spots right up front (literally middle stage in front of the man himself) so were able to see every little move, facial expression and chest hair up close and personal :-) He was having a lot of fun, danced like no 52 year old I know, and played some rockin' guitar solos ! At one point he even threw his guitar into the crowd (they had to give it back about 30 seconds later!) and at another point ripped his shirt wide open ala the '80s :-)

The entire crowd was really into it, which gave Prince and the band the extra energy to play for almost 3 hours (with 6, YES 6, encores!!!!). Quite a lot of people had already left, and just when you thought it was really over they kept coming back on stage for more.

Jeroen managed to catch a drumstick from John Blackwell (drum monster extraodinaire), and after the show managed to shake hands and appear in a photo with Mr Hayes (keyboard player). What a great night - my feet still hurt and am feeling pretty tired, but it was more than worth it.
