Campsite 1 in Croatia
Adria Sol turned out to be a totally relaxed and well organised campsite right on the shores of an inlet of the Adriatic Sea, and on arrival it was still quiet enough that we could choose our own pitch. With pretty much zero shade and temperatures of 35C during the day, we were extremely happy that we had our trusty shade canopy. At one point the temperature inside the tent reached about 45C !! Such hot weather meant we were up and swimming by 9.00am and looking forward to a cooling beer by about 3.00pm ;-)
In an attempt to keep the beer cool Jeroen "buried" a six pack of 1 litre plastic beer bottles (great invention!) under a pile of small rocks in the sea one afternoon. On returning about an hour later to savour our cold beer we were dismayed to find they had disappeared! Lucky being in plastic they were still floating with the current about 50 metres away from where we had left them and we managed to retrieve all 6 bottles - at least it provided great entertainment for our German "neighbours" ;-)
Swimming here was such a pleasure - crystal clear waters AND a fabulous view.
Word Cup football matches here:

02/07 NL vs Brazil 2-1
