Lunch in Slovenia
The first of the "new" countries we can add to our list from this vacation is Slovenia ! Driving from Salzburg to our first campsite in Croatia we stopped for lunch in the capital, Ljubljana. With a compact but picturesque historic inner "city" situated on a small river, it was a perfect spot to sit on a terrace and enjoy some local cuisine. The architecture of the historic centre is a mix of baroque and art nouveau styles, and the city has been strongly influenced by the Austrian fashion in the style of Salzburg !
We really only spent about 2 hours here so didn't get to see a huge amount, but the following photos give you a bit of an impression. Being a sunday meant most of the shops were closed, so unfortunately we didn't manage to find a snowdome here for our collection.
Oh and the last 3 photos - just some of the amazing alpine scenery whilst travelling from Salzburg to Ljubljana (taken from out of a movng car!)
