Shortest day of the year...

...and it's brrrrr.........really cold here!!

It's been getting down to about -6 C at night and hasn't really been above -1 C during the day for the past 4 - 5 days! We had an amzingly heavy mist two nights ago and it was so cold that the mist caught in all the trees and froze there! Everything looks so pretty covered with a fine white frosting, looks very Xmas postcard-like :-)) If it stays until Tuesday I can honestly say I've had my first white Xmas - yippee. However, weather forecasts are for "warmer" weather early next week (more like a minimum of 1 C up to a maximum of about 6 C) so the whiteness probably won't last. Anyway, it looks lovely for the time being.
